Iād like to introduce myself and my experience in merchandise design. As an avid gamer, movie-buff and comic book nerd, my career has been a fanboy's dream come true.
When I was growing up, all I wanted to do was make art, read comic books and play video games. Thankfully, my career goals have expanded and matured over the years (but still keeping my nerdcred), and I've developed a passion for merchandise design keeping the focus on properties I've lived and loved for over 30 years.
Over the last 20-plus years, I've built my career on one mindset: creation by fans for fans. By having the fan's best interest in mind, I have personally been involved in major client relationships and licensor communication starting at Fashion Victim in Atlanta in 1999, continuing through to my 12 year tenure at Bioworld merchandising in Dallas, and as the Design Director for Pop Creations in New York City. From owning the leather goods business at Spencer's & Hot Topic, to spearheading extremely successful relationships with Gamestop and other major entertainment destinations, and bringing premium quality licensed product to every retail tier, I strive to constantly build business.
Working with Disney, Warner Bros., Marvel, Lucasfilm, Nintendo, Sega, Activision/Blizzard, Bethesda and so many more partners from the entertainment landscape, being a nerd really pays off. At any given time, you will find me buried in my comics, playing a new game or immersed in a convention weekend.
This is what I do-- I eat, sleep and breathe the licensing world, letting my passion and experience do the talking.
